Great Toy!

This is great for cheese and deli meats but I decided to try it on lettuce as well. The lettuce gets a little crushed but lasts much, much longer. Great money saver! Works with Ziploc brand bags as well.

UPDATE: Seems the Ziploc bags don't hold a seal as long as the Foodsaver bags.

Vacuum Packing and Canning Made Easy

FoodSaver products are simple and effective - they simply rock!

This FreshSaver Handheld Vacuum sealer is portable and rechargeable - it even recharges from my portable solar electric charger.

Using the FoodSaver Wide-Mouth and Regular-Mouth Jar Sealer everyday canning jars become vacuum sealing units. Glass jars and lids store nearly forever.

Fill the jars with nitrogen prior to vacuum sealing to drive out the oxygen. Can you say, "Nito-Pak"? Shelf life for some items count not in months but years or decades.

I even vacuum pack other containers in canning jars: vitamins, supplements other organics. Buy them on sale and keep them ready for use.

Do not underestimate the power of this diminutive device, it sucks like the big ones!

Compact, portable, rechargeable, powerful and did I mention durable.....yes this is a well built unit.

Works like a charm!

Not much to say about this handy little tool other than it does what it says and it does it perfectly. I purchased the large mouth and regular size canning jar adapters and use this tool to vacuum seal dry beans, rice, quinoa, etc. in glass canning jars. My pantry is now organized and I can see at a glance what I have stored. I feel good knowing our food is in better condition stored in glass and vacuum sealed. NO MORE PLASTIC!
