So this was another christmas gift that i researched for a while. I figured, if I'm going to spend good money on buying something then I want to hear what average people say about these things. I'm so glad I listed to my gut feeling and so glad that other people take the time to really speak the truth. I'm pretty set on never buying things with below 3 star ratings. This was another product that definitely has lived up to its reputation on Amazon. On first attempt my girlfriend made the perfect waffles. The directions say to start on medium setting. I think we will LIVE on medium setting because I can't say one bad thing about the waffles I ate. Holy cow...the waffles are huge and filling at this size. Very moist and nicely golden browned at the medium setting. We will try the higher setting next time to see if we get the crunchy outsite with nicely cooked middles, but so far this was a huge winner in our opinion. And trust me...I looked for months on several sites and re ad tons of reviews and I just kept coming back to this product because of what people were saying. Just flawless design and operation....even better waffles! ENJOY and if you're making enough for two people I'd say about 1.5 waffles is super filling and I'm about 5'11" 195lbs that loves food. Couldn't say enough good things about this little kitchen gem. Thanks Amazon and all of you honest people who speak your minds!!

West Bend model 6201 waffle maker

Just bought this from Menards for $19.99! (thru Dec 4, 2011) Works amazing. You need to read the instructions and follow them to a tee. They describe the timing and when to rotate the maker. Some people have had issues with the handles. I see no problem their, just rotate in the right direction and it works great. We made a slew of delicious waffles that freeze perfectly.

I bought this waffle maker to make belgian waffles for my family especially since my 2 year old loves waffles. It is a big time hit, we use it at least once a week sometimes more. The waffles come out nicely done and fluffy, they taste great. Only issues are that it's got a lot of creases to let bits of waffle and mix to get stuck in and it's hard to clean out.
