5Love It
By Kevin H. Unverzagt
Well I was skeptical after reading the other reviews but decided to try it. I like how you can use any pitcher you want. But I love that if you set it to strong it actually brews strong (too strong for me). The sugar chamber was ok, but I use sweet n low, so I use far less then a cup, but I can assume it would be ok with a cup. Other reviewers said it got on their countertop, I do not see how this could possibably happen. It does also have a double shower head system which helps make the tea stronger. It took about 5-10 minutes to brew a pitcher. The only thing I dont like is to not use the drip tray you have to remove all the baskets before you remove the pitcher, but that is what the drip tray is for. And with the Mr coffee and such my counters were always a mess. Out of the 7-8 tea makers Iv tried this is my favorite.

5Perfect Iced Tea
By Super S
This replaced an earlier West Bend model that we had used for years. This one is just as good or better. Really like the style and ease of use. Four tea bags is enough although the directions call for up to seven. Makes perfect iced tea quickly. We do not use the sugar compartment that has been the subject of other complaints.

5Smooth iced tea!
By M. Murphy
Great iced tea maker. Quick set up right out of the box. Add water, ice, sugar, tea bags/or leaves. 7 minutes later you get smooth delicious tasting iced tea. I don't use sugar in my tea, so did not use the sweetener tray. I like my tea strong, so I used 9 bags of mango peach tea, then brewed at the strongest level. There was no dripping while I put water in the machine, nor was there any water dripping during the brewing process. There is a lot of steam that comes out from the top of the machine, and that may be what some people are confusing with dripping water. I also had absolutely no dripping when pouring tea from the carafe with the lid on, into my glass. Yes, the carafe is plastic, but it is very sturdy and attractive looking, and fits neatly and nicely on the top shelf of the refrigerator. The tea is iced cold straight out of the carafe and tastes smooth, delicious and refreshing. This beats making tea in a pyrex measuring cup in the microwave. I don't have to wo rry that I left the tea bags in too long or too short of a time. Takes the guess work out of making great tea AND there's no mess. I'm very happy with my choice of iced tea makers.

** Update ** Made an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade and half iced tea) with my iced tea maker. Add a can of frozen lemonade into the bottom of the carafe with the ice and brew like usual. Really good!

**one more update** Have done a lot of experimenting with the machine and found a great way to save a bit of money. I love mango tea, but find the specialty tea's to be pricey, so i brew 5 bags of Lipton black tea bags and 4 flavored tea bags. It still tastes strong and refreshing. If I want to sweeten it up a bit with out sugar, I pour in about 1/2 a cup of diet cranberry juice with the ice into the carafe. Just make sure you leave out some ice so it doesn't overflow while brewing.
