5Great product!
By Terrie Smith
I love this! I have a FoodSaver vacuum sealer and have really used it. I noticed the jar sealer and thought I would try it (the hose that attaches to the jar sealer came with my FoodSaver, so this could be a problem for someone who doesn't have the hose attachment). I wasn't sure if I would need a jar sealer for each jar so I thought the price was rather high, but bought it anyway. It is wonderful! It vacuum seals, attaches a regular canning lid to your canning jar, then you remove and reuse it. By using this I am able to vacuum seal leftovers in a canning jar, refrigerate them and really extend the life of any thing you put in the jar. These are not a substitute for canning for long term food storage, but I have kept food fresh for 10 to 14 days in the refrigerator.

5A must have for long term food storage
By joyce D.
I've had this item for about 2 years, this is a great piece of equipment to have in the kitchen. I've stored dry goods on the shelf and food that needed refrigeration and was pleasantly suprised at how long food lasts.I've heard dry goods like raisins, nuts, candy chocolate chips can last for years and years in mason jars with the air removed,I plan on testing this (as soon as we stop eating them)You'll love it.(buy the larger size too)

3Works okay. Could be better built.
By pclement
I have had a wide mouth Tilia jar sealer for years and it still works fine. This one also works, but does not seem to be as well built. The rubber gasket is thinner and comes off each time you remove it from the jar. The jar lids are well sealed. I just push the rubber seal back on and do the next jar. Only used it a few times so far.
